Attainment

At Northbourne, we are committed to Nurturing Excellence by ensuring that every child makes strong progress and achieves their full potential across all areas of learning.

We recognise that children achieve in many different ways, and we celebrate personal growth and effort alongside academic success. Through high-quality teaching, a broad and balanced curriculum, and a nurturing environment grounded in our values of Courage, Compassion, and Community, we aim to equip every pupil with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to thrive.

  • The percentage of pupils achieving a high level of attainment in reading, writing and mathematics.

  • The school’s average progress scores in reading, writing and mathematics.

  • The school’s average scaled scores in reading and mathematics.

  • The percentage of pupils meeting the expected standard in the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check.

  • The percentage of pupils achieving a good level of development (GLD) in the Early Years Foundation Stage.

At Northbourne, we use assessment information carefully to inform teaching, support individual progress, and ensure that every child continues to be nurtured to achieve excellence in a supportive and inclusive community.
