Ofsted Inspection
Our last Ofsted report, in May 2022, saw Northbourne retain our judgement of ‘good’. Inspectors praised our “calm and purposeful learning environment, where pupils are cherished and nurtured and eagerly come to school each morning knowing that they will have an inspiring day ahead”.
Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools (SIAMS)
As a Church School, Northbourne School has an additional statutory inspection every 5 years. This inspection, known as SIAMS, is independent of Ofsted and evaluates the distinctiveness and effectiveness of Northbourne as a church school. Our last took place in December 2024 and judged that, "We are living up to our foundation as a Church school and are enabling our pupils and adults to flourish".
